Ukraine launches nomination process for local elections on 29 December, - CEC

Submission of documents to territorial polling stations for registration of candidates will last until 4 December inclusive

November 25, Ukraine started the process of nominating candidates for the local elections, scheduled on 29 December 2019. The press service of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reported.

"November 25, in accordance with the calendar plan of the main organizational arrangements for the preparation and conduct of the first elections of deputies of rural, settlement and city councils of the united territorial communities and the corresponding rural, settlement and city mayors on December 29, 2019, the process of nomination of candidates begins," reads the message.

The CEC also reports that the provision of documents to territorial polling stations for the registration of candidates will last until December 4.

It is noted that about 22 political parties submitted copies of the decision of the highest governing body of the party on the participation of their local organizations in the first local elections.

As we reported earlier, on Friday, the Central Election Commission of Belarus approved the results of the elections to the Seventh House of Representatives. There are 44 women among the elected MPs, , which is 40% of the total number of parliamentarians
