Ukraine and Israel will hold the negotiations on the readmission. It is offered to create joint task group at the level of the embassies and specialists of migration service to solve this issue. It was discussed at the meeting of the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and Israeli Minister of Interior Arie Deri as the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to Avakov, Ukraine has the similar agreements with almost all countries of the EU. The minister noted that Ukraine worries about the disproportion towards the refuses at the airports for Ukrainian citizens within visa-free regime despite this.
'We have to seriously think how to avoid this situation. I know that there were offers from your side to change the control process during the border crossing. We are ready to discuss this within the acting legislation. But, from the other side, we also ask you to respect our citizens and do not percept them as the second-rate quality people when they have a flight. It is very important for us', the minister noted.
Arie Deri noted that the number of the people who pretend to get the refuge increased with the abolishment of the visas.
'We begin to notice this in the last three years. We saw the thousands of people who ask for the status of the refugee in our country. But we know that there are a lot of fraudsters who cheat on the more socially vulnerable groups of people, demanding money to get the status of the refugee. We shorten the time of the consideration of such requests that earlier took about three years', Deri said.
According to him, the Israeli government subsumed Ukraine as the so-called Safe State and the requests of the Ukrainian citizens to get the status of the refugee in Israeli will be considered in the significantly briefer period of time.
'We made a great work at the level of the governance of country and ministries to regulate this issue', the Israeli Minister noted.
Readmission is the mutual liabilities of the states that are established at the international agreements to accept back own citizens and citizens of the third countries without citizenship who illegally arrived at the territory of one of the sides or legally arrived but lost the grounds for legal stay.
The visa-free regime came into force since June 11, 2017 and the proper decision was supported by the European Parliament on April 6. 52 000 Ukrainian citizens enter Europe at the first day of the action of the visa liberalization.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko claimed that the biometric passport that is needed to cross the border with the EU without visa was executed by 5 million Ukrainians as at the middle of July.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine noted that they hold the negotiations on the abolishment of the visa regime with a number of countries of Latin America and Asia.
