Ukraine has an interest in holding the next summit in Normandy Format as soon as possible. This was stated by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak during a speech at the Royal Institute of International Affairs Chatham House, the press service of the President’s Office reports.
"The war continues on Ukrainian territory, so Ukraine is more interested in holding the next summit in the Normandy format as soon as possible. Our partners, Germany and France, support us in this," Yermak said.
It was also noted that the full and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas was being adhered to for over 70 days thanks to the agreements reached at the level of the Trilateral Contact Group.
As we reported earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the Normandy format of peace talks (Ukraine-Germany-France-Russia) had allowed Paris and Berlin to reach progress in solving the conflict in Donbas.
"In continental Europe, the Normandy format gave us, together with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, an opportunity to maintain progress," Macron said.
