President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine is interested in cooperation with the USA in the railway industry. He said this during a joint briefing with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"We are interested together with the US side in strengthening the development of the Ukrainian rail industry. Ministry of Infrastructure and Ukrainian Railways are already negotiating on the purchase of a new batch of US-made locomotives," Zelensky stated.

It is worth noting that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo came to Kyiv on a working visit. According to him, U.S. support for Ukraine is "unwavering".

As we reported earlier, Ukraine is counting on the abolition of duties on steel imports on the part of the United States. It was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

"We expect the United States to lift trade restrictions, such as the 25% safeguard duty on steel imports. This is a sensitive issue for our metallurgical exports. We are also looking forward to abolishing this duty for Ukraine," he said.
