Ukraine's foreign policy strategy, which was adopted at today's meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, suggests that a revision of relations with Russia is possible after the end of the armed aggression and the payment of reparations. This is stated in the text of the strategy.
"The obvious conditions for reviewing relations with the Russian Federation and the transition from confrontation to "peaceful coexistence" should be the termination of the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine and the return of the temporarily occupied territories, the implementation of compensation and other forms of reparation for damage caused to Ukraine as a result of the temporary occupation of territories, the refusal of the Russian Federation from practices of interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine," the document reads.
The document states that Ukraine will seek an end to the armed conflict and the return of the temporarily occupied territories in its foreign policy towards Russia.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the strategy of Ukraine's foreign policy, which contains the basic principles of Ukrainian policy towards the European Union, NATO and the Russian Federation.
"The strategy of foreign policy is based on the provisions of the national security strategy of Ukraine and is a document of medium-term planning for the implementation of state policy in the foreign relations," an explanatory note says.
