There has been an increase in the electricity consumption rate in Ukraine, due to the decrease in the daily temperature. Press service of Ukrenergo company reported that on January 11.

"As of January 10, 2022, the electricity consumption rate increased by 7.2 percent compared to the previous work day - to 492.1 million kilowatts per hour. The average daily temperature dropped from +3.7 to -0.8 degrees by Celsius", reads the message.

Since the beginning of January 2022, the amount of consumed energy made 4,536 million kilowatts per hour, which is 1.6 percent less than the expected amount.

As we reported, Westinghouse (USA) and NNEGC Energoatom signed two cooperation agreements providing for the start of projects for the construction of two new power units at the Khmelnytsky NPP using AP1000 technology.

Earlier, it was reported that in February 2022, for the first time in history, all 15 power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants will operate simultaneously.
