As of today, Ukraine has enough gas in the underground storage facilities for a calm passage of the heating season. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odesa.
"Regarding the heating season, I want to assure that both trips to the regions by our team and statistics demonstrate 100% readiness for the heating season in Ukraine. We have more than 18.5 billion cubic meters of gas in our storage facilities, which is quite enough for this year's heating season," Shmyhal said.
He also recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers ensured compliance with the maximum allowable price by gas suppliers and made a decision to prohibit the disconnection from gas of budgetary institutions and private houses.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision of Naftogaz of Ukraine to supply natural gas to hospitals at a fixed price. The relevant order was published on the Government portal on Monday, October 25.
According to the document, the gas supply company Naftogaz Trading can supply natural gas to state-owned health care facilities and communal health care facilities under a model contract for the supply of natural gas to budgetary institutions and organizations.
