Ukraine had to deal with a lot of cyber attacks from Russia, so it enjoys a rich experience of countering these. Ukraine is ready to share this experience with the U.S., said Ambassador Oksana Markarova. Ukrinform news agency cited her as saying.
"In this regard, Ukraine has a lot to share. We dealt with a lot of cyber attacks from Russia before they were detected here, in the United States. And we know what to do in such cases", Markarova said.
She added that the sides, namely Ukraine, the U.S., and European experts can develop a plan to improve the efficiency of coordinated response to this challenge.
Ealier, we reported that the National Intelligence of the U.S. started the creation of the Foreign Malign Influence Center. According to the National Intelligence’s Spokesperson, the creation of the center is tied with “evolving threats and in support of growing policy and congressional requirements”. The hub is created in accordance with recently adopted laws. It will cover actions of Russia, Iran, North Korea and China on “malign influence activities”.
“Its creation comes after repeated warnings by American officials and congressional lawmakers that foreign efforts to influence the U.S. are likely to continue in coming years,” the message says.
