Oleksiy Lyubchenko became the new Minister of Economic Development. His candidacy was supported by 293 MPs.

Thus, Lyubchenko will replace Ihor Petrashko at the head of the Ministry of Economy, who had previously resigned at his own request.

Who is Oleksiy Lyubchenko?

Born on September 21, 1971, in Orlovts, Cherkasy region. Graduated with honors from Kyiv University of Economics with a degree in Economic and Social Planning.

Doctor of Economic Sciences.

Prior to his appointment as minister, he headed the State Tax Service (from April 29, 2020).

Previous places of work: First Vice President of Ukragrokhimholding, Advisor to the Head of the State Fiscal Service, Director of a Department in the State Tax Service, Deputy Head of the Tax Service, worked in various leadership positions in the Cherkasy region.

According to the declaration for 2020, Lyubchenko, together with his wife, owns two apartments in Cherkasy and Kyiv (several more - only a wife or a wife jointly owned with relatives).

He also declared a Blaser hunting rifle and a Breguet watch.

The total income of Oleksiy Lyubchenko for 2020 amounted to UAH 593,625 (22,000 USD). In bank accounts, he keeps $ 81,733, UAH 581,365 (21,000 USD). Also, the minister keeps cash – 12,000 dollars, 14,000 euros.
