Ukraine and Germany expect that next consultations of the Normandy Four leaders' advisors will take place on January 22. This was discussed during a telephone conversation between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, the President's Office reported.
"Both sides acknowledged that the talks between the advisers of the leaders of the Normandy Four on January 12 this year in Berlin were not easy, but constructive. Ukraine and Germany expect the next consultations on January 22," the message says.
As we reported earlier, on January 12, the Normandy Four's advisers agreed to meet again within two weeks to discuss the settlement of the Donbas conflict.
"We hope that we will be able to take the next few steps next week. The break will be short," Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said.
He described the talks as "a difficult but constructive and meaningful dialogue." At the same time, the official admitted that he could not talk about any agreements.
