The governments of Ukraine and France have signed an intergovernmental agreement on the production and technical support of 20 patrol ships. Arsen Avakov, Ukraine's Interior Minister reported that on Twitter.
"On the behalf of the government of Ukraine, we signed the agreement with French interior minister Christopher Castaner (136.5 mln Euros) on the production and technical support of 20 patrol ships; five of them and all RIB-boats will be constructed in Ukraine. We appreciate France's support in strengthening the system of naval security and protection", Avakov reported.
Previously, the Ukrainian official and the French Transport Ministry agreed on joint production of patrol boats for Ukraine's State Border Guard.
