Ukraine extends ban on Russian imports until late 2022

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers ordered to extend the import of goods from Russia for another year, until late 2022. This is mentioned in the decree passed on December 23. 

The embargo concerns meat, fish, dairy products, cheese, soda, tea, food mixes, chocolate, confectionery and bakery products, baby food, pet food, alcohol, cigarettes, medicines, mineral additives, shampoo, shower gel, and soap. The list of banned goods also includes clothes, paper, matches, wiring, pipes, dishes, railway locomotives, car wagons, cars, motorcycles and tractors.

In general, Ukraine blocked the shipment of almost 190 kinds of Russian goods.

Last year, the Cabinet imposed special duties for the import of coal, diesel fuel and liquefied gas from Russia. Then, Russia extended the food embargo and limitation of transit of Ukrainian goods. Russia also banned exports of oil, oil products, and limited the coal supplies in Ukraine.
