Ukraine, EU agree terms of allocation of 1 billion euro of micro-financial aid

The terms of the receipt of the tranche of the macro-financial aid in the sum of 1 billion euro from the EU by Ukraine are agreed. In the nearest future, the sides will sign the agreement. Mykola Tochytsky, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the EU claimed this as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

“There is the progress, there are the terms. I cannot disclose them to you yet until the agreement is signed,” he said.

At the same time, Tochytsky expressed the hope that such agreement will be signed in the future.

Earlier the Council of Europe has approved the allocation of one billion euro of the macro-financial aid to Ukraine.

As we reported the European Commission has decided to allocate another package of macro-financial assistance (MFA) worth up to €1 billion to Ukraine for the support of the country’s effort to implement structural reforms and stabilize its economy.

On May 29, the Ambassadors of the EU countries on the behalf of the EU Council approved the agreement with the EU Parliament on the parcel of the macro-financial aid to Ukraine.
