The list is composed by the BAV Group and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. They considered the number of factors including a leader, economically influential, politically influential, strong international alliances and strong military force.
The U.S. became the leader of the list. The second place is occupied by Russia and the third by China. Germany, the UK, France, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia and South Korea entered TOP 10.
Ukraine takes the 39th place. It is higher than Finland, Greece, Oman, Kazakhstan, Poland and other countries, including Portugal, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and others. However, it loses to Luxembourg, Belarus, Vietnam, South Africa, Egypt, Qatar, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and other states.
As we reported, Ukraine climbed three tanks up (from 138 to 135) in the Economic Freedom 2019 rating. However, it is still in the lower part of the list along with underdeveloped African, Asian and Latin states.
