Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba responded to the recent statement by his Belarusian colleague about plans to introduce sanctions against Ukraine. The diplomat said so on the air of Ukraina TV and radio company, press office of the Foreign Ministry reported on Facebook.
"For me, there is nothing new about such a statement of head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei. We expected such a move by the Belarusian side. At that, I'd like to turn attention to the fact that Ukraine did no evil to Belarus, it did not meddle with Belarus's internal affairs, and so we leave final decision about possible Belarusian sanctions for the Belarusian government's consideration", Kuleba said.
Nevertheless, the diplomat claimed that the Belarusian side has not yet sent any signals about possible introduction of sanctions against Ukrainian officials.
As is known, on November 26, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei claimed that Minsk planned to introduce sanctions against Ukrainian officials for their support of EU sanctions against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko.
