Ukraine is ready to work on potential opportunities that would allow expanding bilateral trade with China. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Xinhua, the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine reported.
"We are ready to work on finding new opportunities for further expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the Commission on Cooperation between the Governments of our countries," Zelensky said.
He also stressed that Ukraine had significant potential for cooperation with China in various fields, comparable or even greater than many other Eastern European countries had.
The president added that the countries should work together in order to "develop a new strategy, a new vision, new growth points."
As we reported earlier, the European Commission approved the decision, which consolidates the increase in trade between the European Union and the countries of the pan-European and Mediterranean region, including Ukraine.
