The Office of the President of Ukraine has responded to the shellings that have been recently observed in Donbas. They are considered as two separate cases committed with a provocative purpose, Interfax reports.
"We demand that Russia intervene in the situation and influence the provocative behavior of illegal armed groups in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in order to maintain the ceasefire," the statement said.
It is reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is concerned about the provocative shellings in the east. He stressed that the Ukrainian side did not intend to refrain from fulfilling the agreements on the ceasefire in Donbas, but the Ukrainian military had to be ready to respond to the militants' activities.
As we reported earlier, Russian militants have landed new attacks on Ukrainian military emplacements in Donbas since the beginning of Monday.
The shelling did not result in any casualties among Ukrainian servicemen. The enemy used small arms and an RPG; the latter was used in the area of Kamyanka, Donetsk region.
