Ukraine calls upon Cyprus to join Crimean Platform

On November 23, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova invited Cyprus to participate in the Crimean Platform negotiating platform. This was discussed during her meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Ukraine Louis Telemachou, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.

"Emine Dzhaparova reported on the recent events in Crimea and proposes the Cypriot side to take part in the activities of the Crimean Platform initiative," the statement said.

In response, Telemachou assured that the Cypriot side continued to adhere to the position of non-recognition of the temporary occupation of the Ukrainian peninsula.

Ukraine's First Deputy Minister expressed her gratitude to Cyprus for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

As we reported earlier, the United States claimed its readiness to provide help with creating the Crimean Platform initiated by Ukraine.
