Ukraine has called upon the international community to continue putting pressure on Russia over the illegal use of the neuro-paralytic substance from the Novichok group. This was reported by the ministry's press center.
It is noted that Ukraine trusts the results of laboratory analysis of biological samples of Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, conducted by laboratories in Germany, France, and Sweden. They confirm the presence of the poison from the Novichok group in his body, which indicates the possible involvement of the Russian government in illegal actions with the use of the above-mentioned substance.
"Given the high probability of the Russian Federation's involvement in the poisoning of Alexei Navalny, Ukraine calls on the international community to continue applying coordinated pressure on Russia in order for it to stop threatening world security and violating international law by showcasing aggression against its own citizens and other states," reads the message.
As we reported earlier, Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny stated that he planned to return to Russia as soon as he had recovered.
