Ukraine and Belarus intend to increase bilateral trade to 5 billion USD, as President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced in a joint press conference with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, broadcasted by 112.UA Channel.
“Ukraine-Belarus trade grew by 26% compared to last year’s numbers, and Belarus is our fourth trade partner in importance. I am glad that we are the second Belarus’s trade partner, and there are real and serious prospects of development. We set out a goal to increase our bilateral trade to five billion USD in the nearest future. This means that the work on our projects is effective, and certain projects are right and mutually beneficial for both countries,” he said.
As it was reported earlier, Presidents of Ukraine and Belarus Petro Poroshenko, Alexander Lukashenko meet in Kyiv today. Earlier, the press service of the Belarusian reported that Poroshenko and Lukashenko will discuss the development of the political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.
