Ukraine, Belarus lay border demarkation line in Chornobyl exclusion zone

Ukraine and Belarus conduct joint works, defining the demarcation line in the area of Chornobyl exclusion zone. These works are held under the 2019 plan of demarcation line operations between Ukraine and Belarus. It was approved during the 20th session of the inter-governmental demarcation committee.

The works began on April 9.

The length of the state border between Ukraine and Belarus makes 1,084 km. 

Previously, Belarus opened the exclusion zone for tourists.

Previously, HBO channel released the first official trailer of Chernobyl miniseries; the show based on the real events that occurred in Ukraine in April 1986. 

The main cast includes Stellan Skarsgaard, Emily Watson, Jared Harris and Jessie Buckley. Skarsgard plays Borys Shcherbyna, the leader of the governmental commission that investigated the reason of Chornobyl disaster. Watson got to play nuclear physicist Ulyana Khomyuk. Harris will be portraying Valeriy Legasov, the Soviet scientist who also joined the company, trying to sort the things out.
