President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a law ratifying the agreement between Ukraine and the United States on cooperation in science and technology. The presidential press service reported this.
"Volodymyr Zelensky approved the extension of the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the United States on cooperation in science and technology," the statement said.
The press service said that the first agreement on cooperation between the countries in the field of science and technology was signed in Washington on December 4, 2006. After the expiration on July 9, 2019, the governments of both countries decided to extend the document for a five-year period. The relevant law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 3, 2021.
According to the document, scientists and researchers will have the opportunity to exchange scientific and technical information, experience and research methodology.
As it was reported earlier, NATO leaders have confirmed the decision of the Bucharest summit about Ukraine becoming the Alliance member.
