President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with head of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The officials agreed to take additional measures to finalize the Free Trade Agreement. The press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that.
"The heads of state agreed to take additional measures to finalize negotiations on the conclusion of a free trade agreement, as well as strengthen the work of a number of sectoral bilateral mechanisms," the statement said.
Zelensky also thanked his Turkish counterpart for humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine to combat Covid-19.
In addition, the leaders of the countries noted that they consider July 1 as the date of resumption of flights between Ukraine and Turkey.
“I know that some airlines want to restore their flights - this will give an impetus to the gradual restoration of the tourism industry,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
