President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip held a phone conversation, during which they discussed the perspective of expanding of joint border and customs control in some checkpoint at the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border, reports the press office of the Presidential Administration.
‘They talked on relevant issues of the bilateral agenda. In particular, the conversation was about enhancing cooperation in the border area and expanding joint border and customs control at selected checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border,’ reads the message.
The interlocutors drew special attention to enhancing security in the region and cooperation of Ukraine and Moldova within the framework of international organizations.
Poroshenko and Filip marked the high level of partner relations between Ukraine and Moldova.
