Ukraine and Canada sign defense cooperation agreement

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan signed the agreement on defense cooperation. This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine to Canada.

The agreement should formalize the military cooperation between two countries and create legal field for close cooperation between the Armed Forces.

According to Andriy Shevchenko, the Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada, the agreement defines 5 key directions of cooperation: defense research, development and production; material support; logistics; defense policy; military education.

Ambassador believes that the document is a logical answer to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
