From next year, Ukraine and Azerbaijan will hold annual tourism forums in key cities - tourism centers of both countries. This is reported by embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The corresponding agreement was reached during the first joint meeting of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani working group on cooperation in the field of tourism, which took place in the web-conference mode.

"The participants in the meeting agreed on the idea of ​​introducing the practice of annual tourism forums twice a year in key cities - centers of tourism. It is expected that the first Ukraine - Azerbaijan forum will be held in 2021 via videoconference, the next - offline in Kyiv or Baku. the practice of holding tourism forums is supposed to be carried out twice a year in outstanding places - tourist centers of both countries," the statement says.

It is also noted that at the meeting of the working group an important emphasis was placed on the development of cooperation between the regions of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

In particular, the Lviv region presented targeted proposals for medical services for the rehabilitation of people infected with coronavirus. At the same time, the leadership of the Association of Hotels of Azerbaijan presented to the Ukrainian side the potential of medical and health tourism of Azerbaijani complexes in the cities of Naftalan, Nakhichevan and Lankaran.

Representatives of the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv City Council presented the key areas in the field of cooperation with Azerbaijan.

The working group on cooperation in the field of tourism works in the structure of the Joint Ukrainian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
