U.K. to create cyber-troops due to Russia's threat

A new kind of the troops numbering 2,000 people will focus on the offensive cyber-operations

Great Britain builds strength for the holding of a war in the cyber-space and creates new cyber-troops numbering up to 2,000 specialists as Sky News reported.

It is noted that the creation of the new kind of troops takes place at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom and Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).

According to the sources of Sky News, about 250 million pounds will be spent for their financing.

Ex-Head of Joint Forces Command General Sir Richard Barrons claimed that the strengthening of the cyber-forces is highly-prioritized for the U.K. in terms, when other countries, like Russia, already are advancing.

"Possessing the advancing cyber-techologies in the U.K., we will level the forces at the combat field and will get new means for deterrence and punishment of states that want to harm us," he said.

Earlier Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy and Special Representative of the US State Department Kurt Volker discussed information and cyber threats from the Russian Federation regarding the forthcoming elections.

Also, Ukraine and Turkey intend to cooperate in the sphere of the cybercrime, fight against terrorism, illegal transporting of the migrants and human trafficking, , money laundering, drug trafficking and transnational organized crime.
