The United Kingdom has expressed its readiness to provide financial assistance to people affected by the floods in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the British Embassy in Ukraine on Facebook.
"The United Kingdom will provide 100,000 pounds to help those affected by the devastating floods in western Ukraine," the statement said.
In addition, London will also send humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the form of hygiene kits, essentials, drinking water, and sanitation to help it fight the coronavirus infection.
This support is set for the medium-term recovery of the disaster-stricken region.
As we reported earlier, Israel has handed over a batch of humanitarian aid for flood-affected citizens to Ukraine.
"As soon as we learned of the severe natural disaster in the western regions of Ukraine, the Israeli embassy offered its assistance to the Ukrainian government. We have allocated 18,7 thousand dollars for the purchase of basic necessities, and after agreeing on the list of necessary items with the office of Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, today we will deliver the necessary items to the most affected regions," Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine Joel Lion stated on June 29.
