Great Britain is temporarily recalling its Ambassador to Belarus Jacqueline Perkins for consultations on the situation in this country, as British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab stated on Friday, October 9, reports Reuters.
“Great Britain condemns the decision of Belarus to expel Polish and Lithuanian diplomats. As a sign of solidarity, we are temporarily recalling our ambassador for consultations on the situation in Belarus,” Raab said on his Twitter account.
As we reported before, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement on political cooperation, free trade, and strategic partnership between the countries, which could simplify the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba after the document was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson.
The agreement reaffirms Britain's support for Ukraine's European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as places special emphasis on strengthening military and military-technical cooperation.
