Two Ukrainian defense companies fined for USD 350,000

State-run defense enterprises Zhytomyr Tank Factory and Spetstekhnoeksport have been fined for almost 350,000 U.S. dollars. Andriy Lysenko, the Speaker of Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine reported that on Friday.

The commercial court of Kyiv ordered the companies to pay fines since they failed to live up to the defense orders.

Specifically, Spetstekhnoeksport blew the supplies of parachute systems for the Defense Ministry.

Recently, Ukraine's Defense Ministry received S-125 Pechora anti-aircraft missile launchers and missiles for them.

No official of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has yet been notified of suspicion in the case of purchases for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at overcharged prices. The number of losses was preliminarily estimated as 3.8 million dollars.
