Two people died, and another 12 suffered injuries in the attacks that occurred in Mardin province, Turkey. Anadolu reported that missile and mortar strikes took place there.

"Two peaceful residents were killed, and 12 more were wounded in the mortar and missile attack by YPG/PKK terrorists from Syria in Turkey's borderline provinces," reads the message.

The governor of Mardin province told the press that the attacks were directed against Tasliki and Otluk settlements. The wounded ones are treated at local hospitals.

On October 9, Turkish forces were deployed in the borderline area, with an operation aiming to oust the terrorists in northern Syria and protect the border safety.
