Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council supported the idea to offer Great Britain a flexible delay of Brexit procedure, giving the country an option to leaving the EU earlier, if the UK-EU deal is ratified.
'There are few reasons to believe that the Brexit deal will be approved during the period set by British Prime Minister Theresa May - until June 30', Tusk assumed.
In his letter to EU leaders, the politician stated that conditions are necessary should follow any delay of the Brexit procedure.
The EU member countries will be voting for the offers on extending Brexit at a summit on April 10.
Theresa May previously met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin; the German leader said that the delay is possible, and it could last until late 2019 or early 2020.
