The Turkish army conducted large-scale training exercises in and over the international waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This was reported by Anadolu with reference to the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey.

It is reported that elements of joint actions of the Navy and military aviation were worked out in the maneuvers, which lasted for about eight hours.

The tasks were successfully completed by the teams of eight frigates and corvettes, supported by 17 military aircraft.

The total area of ​​the maneuver zone under the command of the Turkish Armed Forces Joint Operations Center was 2,000 square kilometers.

During the exercises, the crews of the aircraft also worked out refueling from the aircraft over the sea.

The Black Sea Fleet of Russia earlier held tank drills in annexed Crimea. The Russian army is working off the defensive and offensive actions, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.

“The crews of BTR-82 and T-72BZ perform fire activity from authorized armament at targets replicating armored vehicles, artillery and anti-tank manning details of the conditional enemy,” the message reads.

The training takes place at all times of the day at the Crimean firing ranges for military training. The Ministry for Reintegration of Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported about at least 30 military drills held by Russia’s Defense Ministry in Crimea in April.
