Turkey is planning to freeze the assets of two US Ministers. Recep Erdogan claimed this during his speech at the Congress of Justice and Development Party, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

‘The last step made by the USA in the incident with the pastor Brunson in Izmir is not compatible with the strategical partnership. The USA expressed a serious contempt by this step,’ the President claimed.

He claimed that he commissioned to freeze the assets of the Justice Ministers of the US Internal Affairs in Turkey.

‘Those who think that they may force Turkey to step back by resorting to threatening statements and absurd sanctions show that they don’t understand the Turkish nation,’ Erdogan noted.

Earlier, the USA introduced sanctions against Suleyman Soylu, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Abdulhamit Gul, the Minister of Justice due to the detention of the American pastor Andrew Brunson.
