Turkey accused Germany of supporting the network of the oppositional Muslim preacher Fethullah Gülen, whom Ankara accuses of attempting a coup d'état last year. This is reported by Reuters.
Earlier the head of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany (BND) Bruno Kahl said that the Turkish side could not convince him that Muslim preacher Gulen stands behind the coup attempt in Turkey.
According to him, despite Turkey's efforts at various levels to convince Germany of Gülen's guilt, the evidence is inconclusive.
After that, the press secretary of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Ibrahim Kalin said that Kahl's comments confirm that Germany supports the Gulen network, which Ankara calls the "terrorist organization of Gulen" or "FETO".
