White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer leaves his post due to disagreements with communications director Anthony Scaramucci, as New York Times reports.
In particular, Mr. Spicer told Mr. Trump that he believed the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as communications director was a major mistake. Mr. Spicer flatly rejected the president’s offer of a position subordinate to Mr. Scaramucci, according to two administration officials familiar with the exchange.
Since 2011, Spicer was communications director of the Republican National Committee from 2011. In 2015, he became the party’s chief strategist.
