Kory Langhofer, the counsel to Trump for America, argues that the General Services Administration (GSA) didn’t have the right to provide these documents, as it did not own or control the records in question”, and the disclosure could be a violation of the Fourth Amendment. He also said the GSA didn’t give any notice of the transition.

The special counsel’s office, however, says they obtained the emails with the account owner’s consent or appropriate criminal process.
