It is a city, where the meeting of Mikhail Gorbachev and then-US president Ronald Reagan took place in 1986. They discussed the possibility of reducing strategic offensive arms.
It was reported by The Sunday Times, citing a source.
The publication states that Trump and his team shared the plans to organize a meeting with Putin in the capital of Iceland with the British authorities.
The main topic of the meeting will be the issue of nuclear weapons reduction.
A source in the Russian Embassy in London confirmed that the meeting was allegedly already agreed with Moscow.
As it was reported earlier, Trump announced his readiness to meet with the president of Russia Vladimir Putin after the inauguration. "I understand that they would like to meet, and that’s absolutely fine with me," he said.
