ISIS planned to blow up a passenger jet coming to the U.S.; that was one the topics of discussion between U.S. leader Donald Trump and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov on May 10. ABC News said this was exactly the ‘classified information’ mentioned in the U.S. media most recently. As is known, the news about Trump sharing some secret information with Russia evoked concerns among some U.S. politicians, political experts and common citizens in many countries.
According to ABC News, an Israeli spy provided intelligence ‘involving an active ISIS plot to bring down a passenger jet en route to the United States, with a bomb hidden in a laptop that U.S. officials believe can get through airport screening machines undetected. The information was reliable enough that the U.S. is considering a ban on laptops on all flights from Europe to the United States’.
The sensitive intelligence was shared with the United States, officials say, on the condition that the source remain confidential.
