US President Donald Trump told the US Congress about the circumstances of the missile strike on Syria and warned of possible new attacks "if necessary."

This was reported by Radio Liberty, with reference to a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan, which was published on April 8.
President also explained that he had ordered to conduct a missile strike to weaken the capabilities of the Syrian army to conduct further attacks using chemical weapons.

Let us remind, the United States responded to the chemical attack with a massive missile attack on the troops of Assad in Syria. The US Navy fired 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of 2,000 km at the military airfield of Al-Shayrat near the province of Homs. Exactly from this airfield the chemical attack was carried out. It resulted in the death of 27 children. US President Donald Trump said that the air strike was a response to the heinous actions of Syrian President Bashar Assad, who used chemical weapons.
