President of the United States Donald Trump will visit Poland on July 6, where he will meet with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, as well as the leaders of the countries participating in Mediterranean summit (Adriatic-Baltic-Black Sea). This was stated by Minister of President of Poland Office Krzysztof Schersky and Polish Foreign Minister Vitold Vashchikovsky, Ukrinform reports.
"On July 6, US President Donald Tamp will visit Poland at the invitation of President Andrzej Duda. Negotiations on this matter continued in recent weeks and were intensified after the meeting of the presidents during the NATO summit in May, "Shchersky said.
He added that during the visit, Trump will meet with Duda, and also take part in the Mediterranean summit.
Shchersky stressed that a significant part of Trump's talks with partners would concern the issues of international security and security in the region of Eastern Europe. In his opinion, Trump's visit will strengthen Poland's position as a regional lawyer, as demonstrated by the recent election of Poland as a member of the UN Security Council for 2018-2019.
Polish Foreign Minister Vitold Vashchikovsky noted that a working group from the United States had already arrived in Poland to prepare the visit of the head of the White House. According to him, the meeting place of presidents is likely to be Warsaw.
Trump's visit to Poland was confirmed by the White House. The representative of Trump noted that during the visit, the US president will deliver an "important speech" to demonstrate the strong ties of the United States with Central Europe and take part in the summit of Mediterranean.
