White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said that Donald Trump again intends to nominate his candidacy for the president’s post in the election in 2020. This was stated on Monday to journalists in Nashville, Tennessee, where Trump spoke to farmers. The transcript of the speech was published on the White House website.

"He’s going to run for President again", Gidley said.

Media representatives asked him to comment the speech of popular TV presenter Oprah Winfrey on Sunday in Los Angeles at the 75th Golden Globe Awards ceremony, after which a number of American media reported, referring to sources that she was considering the possibility of participating in the presidential election in 2020.

According to Gidley, he did not discuss with Trump this speech of Oprah Winfrey.

After that, he was asked about the plans of Trump himself to participate again in the run for the presidency.

As it was reported earlier an explosive new book exposing chaos at the White House was published on Friday despite an attempt by Donald Trump’s lawyers to stop it. Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House was due to be released later, but after extracts were made public by the Guardian, the White House was thrown into a frenzy.

Claims in the book about Trump’s mental stability and fitness to serve were dismissed on Thursday as “disgraceful and laughable” by the White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders.
