US President Donald Trump announced that he would not be attending Joe Biden's inauguration, which is scheduled for January 20. Trump said this on his Twitter page.
To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 8, 2021
It is worth noting that Donald Trump will become the first president since the 19th century to refuse to attend the inauguration ceremony. Andrew Johnson in 1869, John Quincy Adams in 1929, and John Adams in 1801 did that before him.
U.S. presidential election was held on November 3, 2020. According to preliminary data, Biden has outrun incumbent President Donald Trump, gaining 306 electoral votes from the states against the required 270. However, Trump has so far refused to recognize the results of the vote and continues to claim election fraud. But, according to the US Department of Justice, there have been no cases of fraud in the presidential elections.
