US President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are to discuss level of Washington’s participation in resolving conflict in Eastern Ukraine during the meeting on March 14, according to Reuters.
American President will "ask for Merkel's advice on what role the United States can most helpfully play in ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine, which has pitted Ukrainian forces against Russian-backed separatists," the message reads.
Apart from Ukrainian issue, politicians will also discuss Germany’s defense budget, Syrian refugees and European Union.
It is noted that Trump values Merkel’s participation in settlement of Donbas conflict.
Angela Merkel also announced earlier that the operation of Normandy contact group should be continued until full ceasefire is reached in Donbas
