U.S. President Donald Trump assures that he was not hiding in the bunker during the protests near the White House but he went down to inspect it as Fox News reported.
“I wasn't down -- I went down during the day, and I was there for a tiny little short period of time, and it was much more for an inspection, there was no problem during the day,” Trump said.
Besides, the American president noted that the information that he was hiding in the bunker is “false report”. He added that the Secret Service does an unbelievable job of maintaining control in the White House, and beyond the Secret Service we have a lot of other great people out there that is why there are no problems.
Earlier it was reported that protests and clashes with police at the White House forced US President Donald Trump to hide in an underground bunker in central Washington.
The protests began in America after police officer Derek Chauvin killed Afro-American George Floyd during the arrest. The protesters burnt down the police department and the local authorities introduced the emergency regime.
Derek Chauvin was arrested and the protests spanned the whole country. About 40 cities, including Washington, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami introduced curfew, some regions introduced emergency regime.
