Donald Trump, the President of the U.S., refused to sign the final communique of the G7 leaders due to the statements made by Justin Trudeau, the PM of Canada, at his press-conference, as he wrote on Twitter.
PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2018
Earlier, G7 member states agreed on the final communique.
As we reported earlier, Donald Trump, the U.S. President, supported Russia’s return to the G8. The leaders of the G7 were against it at the summit in Quebec.
After Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 it was expelled from the G8, which became the G7.
