U.S. President Donald Trump said he was ready to testify on oath about Russia’s interference in the presidential elections.
‘I’m looking forward to it… I would do that on oath,’ Trump said as quoted by The Hill when answering the questions of reporters whether he would answer Special Prosecutor Mueller’s questions on the issue.
The president said he would meet with Mueller in two or three weeks. According to him, his lawyers are now sorting out the details.
Robert Mueller was appointed U.S. Special Prosecutor in May 2017; he looks into the suspicions of the ties of members of Trump’s election campaign with Russian special services. He is to figure out whether Russian government in any way interfered with the election process.
