The first meeting of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place at the G20 summit. This was reported by Bloomberg  with reference to the statement of the representative of the administration of American president he made to journalists on the plane.

The meeting of the leaders of the G20 will be held in Hamburg on July 7 - 8.

The meeting of Trump and Putin will take place against the backdrop of growing attention to the investigation of Russian interference in the presidential elections of the United States.

Earlier it was reported that Trump wanted to ease anti-Russian sanctions after inauguration. State Department staffers were tasked to work out measures to normalize relations with Russia.
