US officials tell that during today’s meeting presidents of the US and Russia Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin reached agreement on cease-fire in southwest Syria, according to Associated Press.
“The deal marks a new level of involvement for the U.S. in trying to resolve Syria’s civil war. Although details about the agreement and how it will be implemented weren’t immediately available, the cease-fire is set to take effect Sunday at noon Damascus time, said the officials, who weren’t authorized to discuss the cease-fire publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity,” the media says.
As we reported earlier, today Presidents of the US and Russia Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had their first meeting during G20 summit in Hamburg. The meeting lasted 2 hours 15 minutes. Both presidents claim they've never met before.
