The U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin had a meeting at the G20 Summit in Brazil without officials, who could note the conversation, as The Financial Times reported referring to the resources.

As the news agency reports, Trump’s wife Melania and Putin’s translator were present at the meeting. The conversation lasted for around 15 minutes. They discussed international politics, Azov crisis and Syrian conflict in particular.

“Trump’s advisors described the meeting as one of several “informal” conversations he had that evening. Yet, the reports of the people who knew about the meeting say that the conversation was longer and more substantial than the White House informed,” the news agency reads.

The U.S. State Department refused to discuss any details of the meeting, having passed the questions to the White House. The representative of the White House refused to comment, yet confirmed that the meeting took place.
